Governor Terry McAuliffe Endorses Destiny LeVere Bolling for House of Delegates

Today, Terry McAuliffe, 72nd Governor of Virginia, announced his endorsement of Destiny LeVere Bolling to serve in the House of Delegates from the 80th District.

“Destiny has spent her life working to address the struggles of everyday families,” said Governor Terry McAuliffe. “Virginians in the 80th House District will have a fighter in the General Assembly who will wake up every single day working for them to deliver access to a world-class education, health care, internet, and more. I am proud to stand with Destiny in her campaign.”

“I am humbled to have the endorsement of Governor McAuliffe, a steadfast leader who fought everyday as Governor to improve the lives of Virginians,” said Destiny LeVere Bolling. “Governor McAuliffe has never shied away from doing what is right, despite how much pushback he might have to overcome to get there. It’s inspiring and I hope to demonstrate the same philosophy in the House of Delegates.”

A native of Virginia’s Northern Neck, Destiny announced her candidacy yesterday highlighting her experience growing up in a community where people in leadership didn’t look like her. As a result, Destiny developed early on a desire to fight for change and a passion for service. Destiny has previously served as an educator, volunteer at her local church, and is the current Communications Director of the Virginia AFL-CIO where she advocates for hardworking Virginians. Destiny has seen firsthand the struggles families are facing and knows the residents in the 80th House District and communities across the Commonwealth deserve a leader who will wake up every single day fighting to deliver real change.
